Pattaya Death Toll Feb 09

A fairly quiet month in february and all by natural causes. All the news on the death front in thailand came from the suicide of an italian in Bangkok. He jumped off a bridge with a rope around his neck in an attempt to hang himself. Unfortunately, he'd tied the knot wrong and it ripped his body off. The pictures which are grizzly to show on this blog show a hea swinging from a rope. If yor the type who like that sort of thing go to NO HEAD

Hardwork baby sitting

Now i'm out of work, i've had to pull Elizabeth out of nursery. This means that as well as looking for work, I also have o look after Elizabeth. This is HARD WORK!

She still goes to nursery three afternoon's per eek, but after that I have to think about activities and stuff to keep her amused.
I take her for plenty of walks, we go to a toddler play site and we've also started going swimming twice a week. Today was face painting! You can see from the pictures, Ekizabeth loved it, but Nuch's face tells you she didn't.
Role on getting another job soon so Elizabeth can return to nursery!

Raj Mahal Indian Restaurant

The Raj Mahal Restaurant is in my opinion the finest Indian Restaurant in Bangkok and also the most expensive meal I have had in Thailand.

It is situated on the 26th floor of the Rembrandt Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 18. The hotel itself is very impressive, but the view out of the window is worth the money you pay. Surprisingly, Bangkok struggles for a good indian, despite a large indian community.

The menu is a traditional menu you would find in any Indian Restaurant in the UK, this is reassuring when odering. The food is very nice, excellent fusion of herbs and spices and Nan bread to die for. The service is first class as you would expect for this type of venue.

The cost is high for Bangkok, but it is only slightly more than a good indian in this country. So if you fancy a good ruby when your'e in BKK, then head off to Raj Mahal.

Err, yes we did do it!

Today the Thai PM Abhisit Vejjajiva admitted that the Thai Navy had in fact towed out to sea muslim immigrants from Burma and Bangladesh.

This comes after weeks of denials, which flew in the face of all relivant refugee and human right groups and news agencies who had actually survived the ordeal. It is said that nearly 800 of the refugees have died, with 100's still missing.

Where does this leave Thailand? No problems, this is one country that has the biggest carpet for sweeping things under!

Sir Tom Mckillop £750,000 pa

Sir Fred Goodwin £1,300,000 + £2,100,000 bonus pa

Remember these names, these are the get rich quick anyway possible bunch of wankers that are in some way responsible for the problems the WORLD faces today. They had allies all over the world inventing ways of re-cirulating bad money in to new money. They new it was short term, but so long as they made money, fuck everybody else!

They came on TV today and made apologies for what they had done, a 3 year old could see right through them! They're not bothered, they still have plenty of dosh and live in big houses without a care in the world!

They've all mad my hate list, thats seven people on it now!

Even more snow

Over night we had even more snow, at least another 125mm. Predictably, Elizabeth loves it. Nuch is not impressed at all which is a shame.

So here are more pics of Elizabeth in the snow.

A bit of snow

One advantage about not working was being able to take Elizabeth out in the snow.

She loves the snow and loved the places I took her around Belper getting the photos below:

winter wonderland

Today we woke up to a snowy landscape, Now i'm not working I had time to spend with Elizabeth. In the morning we had a walk in the paddocek at the side of our house. She loved the snow and was more than at home. In the afternoon, she started a new nursery, i.e a cheaper one. I decided to walk on and collected her, as I was walking on through Belper the snow began in ernest. By the time we got home the snow was full on and starting to get fairly deep.
After dinner the neighbours decided to hold an impromtu snaowball fight, so I took Elizabeth out again. All she wanted to do was build a snowman, so a snowman was duely built and to be honest I was quite pleased with the out come.

If the snow is still here tomorrow then i'll take her sledging!

Pattaya Death Toll

Pattaya News is a online news station that caters for the foreign market in the Thai resort of Pattaya.

The guy who runs it must a a in with the local law, because he is always on the scene of drimes and reports all matters. Also the police always come out in a good light.

One thing I always notice is the alarming numbers of deaths among the Foreign (farang) community, usually it is road, murder, suicide or natural causes. So in an effort to keep up with the growing list I will monthly put the figures on the net.

Here goes:

January 2009
Road deaths
Murdered
Suicide 1 (1 Aussie)
Natural 4 (1 English, 2 Swede, 1 Dane)
