Home Comforts

I've actually been very lucky whilst living in Thailand, i've not really craved many of the home comforts I thought I would miss. Or so I thought! When I looked in the fridge and cupboard this morning I noticed all of this stuff -
  • Coco Pops
  • Heinz Ketchup
  • HP Brown Sauce
  • Biscuits
  • Grapefruit Juice
  • Apples
  • Butter
  • Bread
  • Jam
  • Stilton and Ritz
  • Nescafe
  • Milk

Most of these goods are very rarely used by the Thai's, breakfast for them is a bowl of noodles in soup, I just cant do it. I like my cereal and milk, my toast and jam. Despite all of the lovely juices you can buy, I do like my Grapefruit Juice which is imported from Australia. Even milk, Nuch prefares CoffeeMate to normal milk. Biscuits are very difficult to get hold of, the heat makes them go soft very quick, so when people do bring them over for me I tend to eat them quickly.

Dont get me wrong, I love Thai food. but when I lived in the UK, you dont eat English food all the time, where as most Thai's do eat Thai food all the time.

So remember when you come out to see me, please bring biscuits, cheese (hide it), Asda Italian blend coffee, jars of Indian cook in a pot( cannot get in Thailand) and as many bottles of Marston Pedigree you can fit in your case.
